Baking With My Bestie

Yesterday, I had my bestie, so I baked with my bestie.  Both of us love to cook, especially sweets!

We cooked and decorated these silly emoji cookies!  We had so much fun!!  Check out our video, below, to see us decorating the emoji cookies.

I can't wait to make these again. Maybe you could make them too!

Earth Day

Yesterday was earth day, and I had an old pair of jeans, so I recycled them.  I saw this cool idea on Pinterest.
I cut the stitches to open the sides of my jeans.

I got a notebook and cut the blue jeans so they would fit to cover the notebook.
I sewed an "L" onto my pocket and glued some buttons for a decoration.

Then, we glued the blue jean around to cover the notebook. We glued the pocket on the cover, but left the top open. (Mommy had to help me because we used hot glue)
Last, I glued some hearts with pink glitter glue!
Voila! My lovely notebook is finished!

Now, I can stick pencils and pens in the pocket.

Would you like to make a fancy notebook?  You can decorate it however you want.

Strawberry Crepes

This is us at the strawberry patch. Most of the strawberries are red and some of them shine in the sun! We filled  a whole basket of strawberries!

Since we had all those strawberries we made a French dessert: Strawberry Crepes!

Here is a video of Mommy and me teaching you how to make this delightful French dessert!

And here is the recipe if you'd like to try to make them yourself:

4 Eggs

1 Cup Flour

2 Tbsp. Sugar

1 Cup Milk

1/4 Cup Water

1Tbsp. Melted Butter

1. Beat eggs in a bowl
2. Add a little bit of the flour and sugar. Use an electric mixer or whisk to combine. Then add a little bit of the milk and water. Mix. Repeat until all the flour, sugar, milk, and water are added.  Then beat with a whisk or electric mixer until smooth
3. Beat in melted butter
4. Chill batter at least 1 hour
5. Cook in a crepe pan for about 2 minutes or until the bottom of the crepe becomes firm.
6. Use spatula or fork to gently lift the crepe from the pan.  Quickly flip the crepe to cook the other side.
7. Cook for 1 minute or until the crepe just starts to brown.  Move the crepe to a plate

Bon Appetitit!

Fancy Lancy Sews A Purse

For Christmas, my GiGi got me a real grown-up sewing machine, because we both LOVE to sew.  I sewed lots of stuffed owls for my cousins.  I also made felt wallets.  I went to my Great Grandma's house and handed out owls and wallets to everyone, and they really liked them.  One of them said they were going to make their bed with their owl.

This week, I went to the library and found a sewing book.  I saw this really cool purse in it and I decided I had to make it!  I went in my sewing room and picked out some bright-colored fabric.  I grabbed my mom, and off we went to make it.

First, my mom cut a pattern out of newspaper.  She pinned it to the fabric, and I cut the fabric.  I also cut a letter "L" out of ice blue felt to use as a decoration on the purse.  I carefully sewed all the pieces together and added some pretty pink sequins around the "L".  When we were finished, we were so impressed!

The next day, I picked out a perfect outfit to match my purse.  We went outside and Mommy took pictures of me with my purse on.

I love my purse!

You can make a purse too!  Find directions in this book: We Love To Sew.  But, make sure you ask a grown-up for help!

These two girls made my Berry Delightful Parfait! They look very sweet, and look how cute their aprons are.  Great job making the parfaits!!  They look BERRY yummy.

Berry Delightful Parfait

This is the most berry delightful parfait!  I made it for my mom after she did her workout.  I always like to make snacks for her while she is doing her workout.  Then when she is done, she sees her snack, gets really excited, and eats it.

This snack is easy to make and tastes BERRY good!

First, I mixed blueberry and strawberry yogurt in a bowl.  Next, I spread Cool Whip over it.  Then, I peeled off the leaves of a strawberry, and set the strawberry upside down on the Cool Whip.  I squirt some grape jelly. And lastly, I put the spoon in it.

That's how you make the Berry Delightful Parfait!

Now that you have the ingredients, you can make it too.
