Dazzling Decorations

Decorations, here I come!

In my last post, I told about a Mother's Day tea party that my friend and I planned together.  Today I want to tell you how I made the decorations! 

First we made the invitations. We wanted them to have bold colors, so we used water colors. After we dabbed a lot of watercolors, we blew on the edge of the paper and that made it look like it splattered.  

Tea Time!

Ha ha ha! look at us.

We're all dressed up, because MK and I planed a tea party.  It was a Mother's Day tea party, and Oo la la! these decorations are marvelous!  I will tell you how we made them in my next blog post.

We handed out beautiful corsages that were made of tissue paper. There were delightful desserts. We even had mint leaves to go with our tea! MK and I read poems to our moms.  Everyone had a fantastic time!

 I say you need accessories on your outfit. You don't want your outfit to look too plain. Watch my video to see how I made this outfit more dazzling!

 

 

 

 

If you have something fancy, you can make your own accessory too!

Ooh la la!

Ooh la la, look at me! Just mom and me....we worked together, we sewed together! Here, I was by the beautiful lake in the gazebo saying, "Ooh la la! Do you like my outfit?"

Do you want to know how I made it?

First, I measured and cut the fabric.

Then, I measured and cut the elastic to fit my waist.

Next, I sewed the elastic together to make a circle.

Then, we had to pin the elastic to the skirt.

When we had it all pinned, we sewed the elastic to the skirt and then turned it right side out to show the sparkles.

Lastly, we had to hem it.

And here is my beautiful skirt.

Mommy bought me a white tank top and used her silhouette machine to cut out the words, "ooh la la." She ironed the words onto the shirt.
